Education/Experience: Must have a valid driver’s
license. CDL is helpful but not required. Must have the ability to
find addresses. Must be organized.
Language/Reasoning Skills: Clear communication and
legible handwriting are necessary for daily operations. The driver
must have excellent customer service skills.
Mathematics/Computer: Knowledge of basic math,
weights, and measurements are required. Any further study/experience
in productivity or routing is very helpful.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: The requirements listed here are
necessary to performing the responsibilities of your job. Reasonable
accommodations will be made for individuals with disabilities. You are
required to lift small amounts (5-10 lbs) daily. The maximum amount is
around 50 pounds and frequency varies due to job activity. Must be
strong enough to push/pull empty containers on wheels, weighing up to
3000 lbs. Most of the day is spent driving to different locations,
picking up, or dropping off new containers. There is constant bending,
lifting, flexing, reaching, walking, and stair climbing.
